At Flowchase, we have decided to move away from the traditional login system of using an email and password. We're aware that most people either choose weak passwords or reuse the ones they already know. By relying on a one-time password (OTP) sent to your email, we think the security of your data is improved.

Email providers tend to be very conscientious about security, and can protect you far better than a weak password would. To improve the security of our OTPs, they are time-restricted, can only be used once, and can only be used on the same device that they are associated with.

Once you authenticate via our app or teacher's toolbox, you remain logged in for a considerable amount of time (or until our security system detects a change in your device). We feel that this is a reasonable trade-off for our students and teachers, keeping their data secure while being user-friendly and password-free.

We've noticed that some schools and partner organizations rely on Microsoft Office 365 or Outlook for their email. Sadly, some systems delay our emails on purpose, or disregard the email authentication measures we have in place and choose to mark Flowchase emails as spam. Please wait a few minutes and check your spam and promotions folders before contacting us about a missing one-time password.

If you're having trouble logging in to our app or your teacher's toolbox, we're always available to assist you.
